Sailing to new seas
“But it’s not far down to paradise … at least not for me … if the wind is right … you can sail away … find traquility”, so says Christopher Cross (he’s playing right now on my laptop).
I cannot sleep at this hour … I am both tired and wired. I have so many thoughts about life at this point in time. I find myself at yet another juncture of discovery and learning. It seems my life has never been “uneventful”. It’s been one crazy ride after another.
Right now, I picture myself on a Hawaiian beach. I’ve purchased all of the rooms of a resort and I’m being entirely selfish for two whole weeks. I’m receiving great massages by some beautiful and humble Hawaiian women, sipping on a nice drink, and enjoy the breeze which glides across my back.
Right now, this song is carrying me to a new place. It’s so awesome.
If there’s anything I could share with you at this moment, it would be this:
In life, it is not about you alone. We are not intended to be selfish and inconsiderate people. Humanity does not thrive on selfishness, because as you well know, the world is in dire pain right now. Everyday, a life is lost and one is also born.
Unfortunately, the dark reality of thing is that we’re lost as human beings. While we’ve survived thousands of years to this point, I believe that we have become our own worst enemy. We have lost our definition as people. We have created and consumed poisons (fallacies and facades) which have created our present day of terror on our psyche and way of life.
There is a reason for the misguided, lost, confused and bewildered. There is a reason for why we as humans are lost. As much as I wish to know the answers to everything in life, I do understand through my own journey that we have a lot to learn and discover about ourselves as individuals and as a group.
If we continue our path of segmentation and segregation among like abilities and common traits, we will suffer greatly in the next 100 years. We run the risk of obsoleting ourselves into extinction, for we’ve developed flawed ideas and principles which have set the course to such a possibility.
I ask you, world, how do we grow? How do we learn to love? How do learn to embrace? How do we learn to become spiritual beings? How do we find healing in the wake of darkness? How do see the light beyond the tunnel? How do we reach out? How do we connect?
When I look into the world, I see emptiness. I see lifeless souls. We no longer care about the goodness of life and living. We are consumed with what everyone else can do for us. We do not care about how we treat or react to others, for we have no conscience. We do not care about how our actions affect others, for we deny ourselves the ability to feel another’s pain and suffering.
The purpose of being human is to be connected via a common thread. We do not have that thread today. It has long been forgotten in favor of self.
As for myself, I see a very long and singular journey ahead. The ideas I had about life, people, and love have been forever changed and realigned. Reality has set in and I now have the answers and tools necessary to mend the broken paths I’ve walked. I now realize that people are broken. I now realize that life and living is all but one big fallacy. To arrive in a place of oneness, the path to greatness must be traveled alone. One cannot rely upon another to share in a fruitful experience, for a majority is lost within.
So, while the rest of the world continues to seek the unhealthy and easy, I’ll be looking on and moving forward with my new knowledge to discover my ultimate purpose and happiness in life. True radicals and creative thinkers cannot wait for the world to join them. They must be innovators in thought and action. They must travel … sail … walk … and explore … alone.
