Wal-Mart: Cheap Plastics Will Ruin Water Quality

In all of my years of blogging, I haven’t once commented about Wal-Mart. Frankly, Wal-Mart has never given me reason to, until now. Earlier this week, I purchased a 2.5 gallon container of spring water. Anxious to quench my thirst, I quickly filled my cup.

“Yuck!” …

… was my reaction after taking a swig of the water. The aftertaste was horrible. I’ve never experienced such bad quality in any bottled water — Wal-Mart branded or not. What happened?

Now that I think of it, I recall my friend bringing to my attention the basket which contained these containers of water. It was loaded full of these 2.5 gallon containers, presented in a “hey-you-pick-me-up-now” kind of way. Was this a bad batch of water knowingly sold to the consumer? Or, was it just sheer luck that I’d be drinking plastic — literally?

Either way, cheap plastics will always ruin the quality of water. I am surprised, Wal-Mart. Very surprised.
