Happy New Year, World!

Here’s to a great 2007! While I rarely set resolutions for myself, I always remain optimistic about achieving goals in the New Year:

  • Achieving sponsorship and/or monetizing my most popular podcast, Interviews
  • Expanding the readership/listenership of my other Internet properties (blogs, podcasts)
  • Increasing my Google AdSense revenues
  • Launching new and exciting blogs and podcasts
  • Creating a lot of buzz around my projects
  • Traveling to Japan, Hawaii, Australia, and other places of interest
  • Living my best life yet

As you can see, there are so many things I’d like to accomplish in 2007. I am hungry for new opportunities. I am hungry for new success.

As usual, readers of my blog will be the first to know of new developments.

Recently, I’ve noticed that my blog has been included on the ‘blogroll’ of several bloggers in the blogosphere. Thanks, guys! There are many of you I plan to add to my own blogroll here, and I hope to do that soon.

Google: We Request Your Presence at Terminal B

December 24, 2006 · Filed Under All, Technology · Comment

While Google is focused on building citywide wireless networks for Mountain View and other cities throughout the US, I’d like to know if they have any plans for the nation’s airports. Google’s presence is much needed there and would be a boon for companies to get their products and services in the eyes of thousands.

C’mon, Google, hurry your ass to Terminal B, already! Show those greedy bastards at TMobile and other providers that wireless Internet should be free!

digg: "I Broke The News (Bloggers Shouldn’t Have To Settle For Seconds)"

December 22, 2006 · Filed Under All, News, Technology · Comment

Earlier today, I broke the news on my blog (and on digg) about VitaminT changing their name to Daytipper. I also sent in a tip to Mashable and GigaOm, of which Mashable’s Peter Cashmore has posted and attributed my blog.

However, my problem with this is the inherent “popularity syndrome” that is rampant within the digg community. As you’ll note here, my original submission to digg has been active for more than 13 hours (with 3 diggs), compared to 7 hours (with 11 diggs) for the other — and it will make the front page (simply because of the digg user’s popularity) — even though I am the original source and tipster of the news.

This isn’t the first time I’ve been the original source of interesting tidbits and got overlooked in favor of a popular blog and user. Am I ranting? You’re damn right, for I want diggers to do the right thing, and give due respect!

Bloggers shouldn’t have to settle for seconds when they are the original source of the news!

Vitamin T Is Now Daytipper

Vitamin T, a new website that pays $3 for useful tips submitted by its members for sharing with its readers, just announced today via e-mail their new name: Daytipper.

Noteworthy mention: By the way, I just recently joined the site and had my first tip approved. Unfortunately, the payment process isn’t instant — you have to wait X number of days before your tip is published on their site to receive payment. So, for those expecting instant bucks, forget about it!

“Your daily resource for everyday knowledge now has a new name,
Daytipper.

In addition to discovering hundreds of published tips, Daytipper also
allows you to rate tips, post comments, and subscribe to a RSS feed.

We hope you enjoy the new website and the new name.

The tip queue contains a wealth of useful information. Be sure to
make Daytipper a daily destination.

Daytipper. Don’t just tell somebody. Tell everybody.

www.daytipper.com

Kind regards,
Nathan”
