Seal proposes 6 track album concept; Demos upcoming album

I’m a big fan of Grammy-winning recording artist Seal, who’s early 90s hit “Kiss From A Rose” catapulted his career to superstardom. I cannot think of anyone else in the music industry who’s more aware technologically than this guy. He’s now proposing two releases a year featuring 6 tracks each, instead of the usual 12 track album released ever few years. Seal believes that with a smaller focus on content, he can deliver great music consistently and frequently. It does sound like a winning formula!

I find his ideas refreshing and a telling sign of the times in the music industry. I think we’ll see Seal on his own at some point in the future, distributing his music via online music outlets such as iTunes, etc. The sooner he does this, the better for him, I believe.

Also, Seal recently posted an in-studio video of ‘Swoosh’, a new track he’s recording for his upcoming album on Warner Brothers.
