Cat Fight at CNBC? Erin and Maria? Why?
I was just informed of a big NY Post article about a brewing war between Erin Burnett and Maria Bartiromo at CNBC. Seems there’s a lot of discussion on the Intertubes about this article and this explains the uptick in searches today that I’ve been seeing here on ronaldlewis.com.
My only guess is that Maria is feeling threatend by Erin’s rising stock at CNBC. As I’ve said before, I really don’t care much for “divas” and people with egos. Something tells me this “fight” is going to turn ugly, and someone will lose their job in the coming months. Why are women always getting involved in these public spats?
Look for a huge shakeup at CNBC over the next few months — That place is starting to crumble — and fast. Meanwhile, Rupert Murdoch is smiling.
Finally, will someone drop the “Money Honey” tag already? It’s ridiculous.
Thank you, Erin Burnett — and Google, too!
Everyday, all day — That’s how much I watch the stats of my various web sites. This morning at 8:30, I noted more than 2,000 unique visitors. First, I thought maybe my YouTube story was featured on another major web site, but it appears that my ranking for Erin Burnett on Google has increased — again!
Erin has a ton of admirers — it’s amazing, but also an opportunity. The traffic being driven to my site on a daily basis is astonishing for just Erin Burnett alone. I seriously need to discover more people of her caliber that will drive more hits and ultimately, allow me to remain a self-employed blogger, new media producer, podcaster and lifecaster.
Tonight: My First Denver Netparty
I’m looking forward to attending my first Denver Netparty tonight. I look forward to meeting some interesting and new people that could help further my position as a blogger, new media producer, podcasters, lifecaster and most importantly — entrepreneur.
Breaking: Liz Claman Leaves CNBC
There are several reports that Liz Claman has left her post at CNBC. Some are speculating that she’s heading to FOX’s new financial news channel this Fall. However, that has yet to be confirmed. Overall, it’s interesting news. Claman, in my opinion, increased her own “star power” with her Warren Buffett interview. Regardless, Claman made a move she felt was best for herself. Can’t argue with that. All the best, Liz.
New Media Producer for Hire
The search term “new media producer” returns more than 41 Million results on Google.com. Of those results, one of my articles ranks in the top 5. So, as you can imagine, I receive visitors all the time that are searching for information and knowledge on this emerging profession.
As I’ve mentioned before, New Media Producers are “next-generation” media professionals who create content for the masses via the Internet. This content comes in many forms: A podcast, vlog, blog or lifecast. For two years now, I’ve lived and breathed everything a new media producer is: I’ve produced a much discussed podcast of interviews with top CEOs and celebs, launched several lifecasts and I maintain a blog that’s visited by a diverse group of readers on a weekly basis.
Now’s the time to let you — and everyone else know — that I am available for your projects in new media. Specifically, here are a few areas where I’d like to help:
Podcasting (host/interviewer/producer/editor)
Guest blogger (tech/telecom/etc.)
Broadcasting (events/meetings/etc)
We can discuss rates and other details during the conversation. Put my experience and visibility in new media to work for your newest project.
