No IMAP, Yet More Storage for Google Apps and GMail
The biggest news today is the announcement by Google of IMAP availability for GMail. There was some discussion prior to this on yesterday and Monday around the blogosphere, and finally, its been confirmed.
Although Google is rolling out this new feature to as many GMail users as possible, it should be noted that such new features aren’t as readily available for Google Apps users. However, I’m happy to report that my domain, ronaldlewis.com, received Google’s promised storage boost for GMail over the weekend (storage has already increased some 87% from 3.8GB three days to its current 4.36GB):
Of course, this pales in comparison to the 16GB of storage Google granted my Google Apps domain back in October 2006:
TechCrunch Now Moderating Comments?
I’ve been a longtime reader of TechCrunch and for the first time today, I noticed something rather interesting:
Now, mind you, TechCrunch does have spam filters in place, so one would think moderation isn’t necessary — or, perhaps this is just an isolated coincidence. Who knows? Has anyone else noticed their comments being moderated recently as well? Respond below.
Bethesda Chef To Open New Restaurant
Chef Tony Marciante and his partner Iddi Diarra are preparing for a great venture in their nine year friendship this November: A new, upscale restaurant. Chef Tony and I have been in contact for the past year and I’m quite excited about his new restaurant! It’s always great to know people who make food an art.
I’m certain that Chef Tony and his partner will rock the socks off of Bethesda!

Surprise! Welcome to the NEW ronaldlewis.com!
Yesterday, I mentioned that a refresh of ronaldlewis.com would be coming soon. Then, I changed my mind, because I wasn’t happy with the initial themes I tested. However, that all changed in the wee hours of the morning and this is the result. I didn’t get to sleep until 7 AM today, as I had to be completely satisfied with my choice and the implementation of this new theme.

Site Refresh Due Soon
Just a quick note to let everyone know that I’ll be rolling out a site refresh here at ronaldlewis.com. I’m moving the site away from its current three pane design, to a two pane one. I’ve been evaluating a few sites and believe this to be the best approach going forward.
