Google Apps Offline Over Weekend?

Posted in Gadgets & Tech by Ronald Lewis

Upon checking my voicemail this morning, I was notified that attempts by several people to send e-mail to my domain (ronaldlewis.com) were bounced on Saturday. This is the first occurence where Google Apps has returned e-mail to my domain.

I’ve also checked with my host, Media Temple, to confirm if there was a DNS outage during this time and there was no recorded incident. I wonder what happened?

    I had THE SAME problem!
I manage the IT end of my company and made the decision to go to Google Apps in November.

During that weekend you mentioned I had a bunch of co-workers complain that mail was getting bounced from important contacts! I was sure it was there computers that were configured wrong as I was able to receive mail but have been reading about a number of other people who experienced the same problem.

I guess it was random but a pain nonetheless…
