How a ‘Regular Joe’ Landed a Book Deal

Posted in All and tagged , , , , by Ronald Lewis

Stick It To The ManI’m in just as much shock as you about the image over yonder — A book with my name on it. I’m still in disbelief. So, how did this happen anyway? I’ll explain:

1. I noticed an e-mail from a publisher seeking story ideas for a new book project

2. I submitted a story

3. The publisher contacted me

4. The publisher asked if I’d be interested in writing the book

5. I agreed

6. I wrote the book

7. It’s releasing in June

What you should know is that without this blog, I probably wouldn’t have a book deal. The publisher read more than just my blog entry about fighting a multi-billion dollar company for 2,300 shareholders. They also read entries about the U.S. Government, Federal Reserve, and many other topics I’m passionate about. The very nature of Stick It To The Man is all about leveling the playing field between us ‘regular folks’ and those in government and corporate America. It was a great fit for everyone.

So, in addition to appearing on primetime TV, being interviewed by major press outlets, learning from extraordinary people, hanging out with celebrities in Hollywood, catching the ear of billionaires, teaching myself software design, interviewing cool people, and making a lot of great mistakes, I can also now add a book to my wonderful life experiences.

The only reason I can say I’ve had these experiences is because I’ve never denied myself the opportunity to experience them! The key is that I always believed in my ability to ascend obstacles and challenges to seize the moment.

If I can land a book deal, anyone can!
