Is this flirting?

May 6, 2007 · Filed Under Thoughts

So, this evening, I was hanging out at Buffalo Wild Wings in Westminster (Colorado). The server (female) asked if I wanted a single or double of rum and coke — I replied, “Single.” Did she not return with a double not once, but twice! She also winked at me when she gave me my tab.

This isn’t the first time I’ve been “upgraded” without being charged extra. In fact, it has happened dozens of times at the movies, etc. I’ll order a medium drink, and instead, I’m given a large, etc.

In my mind, I’m thinking it’s nothing, but I have to admit that I am curious sometimes. I’m just going to say it’s nothing, but others might say differently. I really haven’t a clue — chasing women and “playing the game” was never a priority or interest for me. I had/have too many other things to focus on.

Are you crazy. She is trying to get a bigger tip. Just kidding. You will never know unless you play the game and ask the questions that lead you down the path of the game. After all you can’t be a well rounded man if you don’t play the game because that game is played not only in the bedroom but in the boardroom. It is just a variation. Play the game and find out how far you can go. Those who don’t ask never receive.

Paul is like “Morpheus” in The Matrix — maybe even the “Oracle”. He (along with his wife) have been trying to get me to “play the game” for years. I keep telling them that the options aren’t really that enticing.

Maybe when I’m bored, I might play — just a little. Regardless, “Morpheus” has always been a man of sound reason and logic.
