Money will attract the wrong crowd

Isn’t it odd the effect money has on the subconscious mind? Isn’t it strange how money literally owns people’s every decision and action? While it’s true that money is necessary to survive in today’s modern world, is it everything? Of course not. For most people, we want to live a good and stable life. And you know what? That’s only human.

Yet, the dark side of money is the people it can attract — people who aren’t good for you. Money is always a temporary asset — regardless of how much of it you have. You make some today, spend some tomorrow, and leave it all behind when you die. Unfortunately, money is like gold to many people — and if you have it, you become an extension of it — the object of desire, envy and jealousy.

That’s a lot of responsibility and accountability to take ownership of. It’s one reason why I believe that wealthy people should never divulge their wealth to most people, unless they are close friends and family — people who have their best interest at heart. As one becomes richer and more successful, s/he must be extremely cautious of the company they keep or invite — because again, not everyone has their best interest at heart.

I mention this because of my own thoughts on wealth and the lives of the wealthy. I’m truly amazed by how illogical and selfish human beings become when a person of interest becomes wealthy. It’s a simple reminder to keep quiet about your life and fortune — few people would ever know the day I acquired great wealth. I’d live like the guy next door and people wouldn’t have a clue. Life is just better that way, for the world and its people are crazy enough.
