My E-mail To Fox News and News Corp

August 1, 2007 · Filed Under Business, Social Media

Lately, I’ve had the idea of creating a new Internet-based show/program with a major news network. Given my accomplishments in new media, I believe I have the creativity, credibility and talent to pull it off.

I’ve reached a point in my new career as a New Media Producer where I feel it’s time for real results — and all it takes is for someone to listen and execute on their word. Here’s the most recent letter I sent today to Fox News Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes (I called Rupert Murdoch’s office directly to get it):

Roger:

Greetings. My name is Ronald Lewis and I’m a new media producer based in Denver, Colorado. I received your contact information via Rupert Murdoch’s office. I produce the Interviews Podcast (http://interviews.direcpod.com), which has secured interviews with top executives (Craigslist, Southwest Airlines) and celebrities before the Wall Street Journal, New York Times and other outlets. My work in new media and tech has been covered by the Detroit News, Boulder County Business Report, Nashville Business Journal and other major publications.

I am interested in exploring a working relationship with a mainstream partner such as News Corp and Fox News. Specifically, I’d like to co-create and host a new show and/or program which is largely Internet-based. It would combine elements of interactivity (chat and forum), video and audio.

I know that Rupert Murdoch is a man of taking risks. And as someone who has engaged Billionaires such as Bill Gates with my talent and creativity, I believe we could achieve something magical on the Internet.

I look forward to your response.

Best,

Ronald Lewis
