Update: Scoble has posted a response on his blog regarding the rumors surrounding PodTech’s future
Robert Scoble just posted the following on Twitter following reports about the demise of PodTech:
The reports of PodTech’s demise are total bullshit. Companies with millions in revenues do NOT shut down.
Six minutes later, Scoble posts again on Twitter
This is a hatchet job by our competitors.
The rumor mill got started with this post by Fake Steve Jobs. He signaled an end to PodTech which would be announced soon. Scoble would know best about his position and PodTech’s health. After all, he seems to keep things brutally honest.
Seems there’s a fallout of speculation with the removal and abrupt departure of PodTech’s founder and former CEO, John Furrier. Furrier announced recently that he was leaving PodTech, which created a lot of discussion around the blogosphere.
I’m not sure why people enjoy spreading rumors — maybe they haven’t anything better to do.
