First and foremost, it is not the color of one’s skin, but the content of their character. We are bound by one branch, one life, and one purpose. The idea of “separate, yet equal” has long plagued our thinking. Contrary to popular belief, we have always been one as human beings, and together, we can finally tear down the walls of separatism.
Our present state of society and living is atrocious, and we’ve turned a blind eye to progress in light of much needed change. Mr. Obama is our greatest hope for re-engineering a nation long hampered by self-interests, division, and reckless policy and management.
Secondly, it is not about one’s strong stature, pose, or ability to engage a crowd. Instead, it is the feeling of hope that we will finally realize great change in our country. We cannot afford to continue on our current trajectory. We cannot rely on our government alone to fix the issues which are tearing our nation at the seams. Great change involves everyone, and in my heart, I am confident that Obama will lead by example, rather than by words alone.
Thirdly, we’ve been misled and misguided far too long as a nation. Proper engagement of all citizens is essential to repairing the center of our communities, government, and spirit. There is so much we can accomplish together, and Mr. Obama believes in the commonality we share as human beings.
The above is why I support Mr. Obama as our next President. In all my 27 years of living as a human being and fellow American, no public figure has ever touched the center of my soul as “the one”. Mr. Obama is “the one” for our nation, purpose, and dream. Mr. Obama shares my belief of building a unified nation that isn’t divided by class, color, religion, or interest. No one has convinced me of this possibility until Mr. Obama.
This is the beginning of great change and purpose. Together, with Mr. Obama, we can work together as people and citizens to usher in a paramount of change. No task is too large, and no dream is unreasonable.
Mr. Obama is America’s gateway to a new nation.
